Training is designed around the needs of the business and bases the learning modules around roles rather than applications: from post room staff to senior Management and local government Members.
This has the benefit of enabling the business and staff to find new and diverse solutions to traditional problems. Elements of the solutions could include: IT training, team building, customer care, technology based intranet solutions and security seminars. Other training can be developed to customers’ specific requirements.
To get the most out of a new IT environment, the training of staff has to be the number one priority. New skills may be required in business processes and IT subjects, together with soft skills to allow them to interact effectively in a more dynamic environment.
The whole training approach is to create a “backbone” for the implementation of the solution. Business processes are incorporated to enable the technology implementation to closely match company requirements. These might include operating systems infrastructure, Office applications, CRM solutions, SAP implementation and bespoke systems.
With technology delivered in concise modules, staff training has to take account of the whole programme and manage the building blocks of training between each technology.
Wherever possible, training is delivered “Just in Time” as this approach has been found to give significant benefits to staff and business.
